INVITATION TO BID

ROCK EAGLE 4H CENTER

ASPHALT PAVING VICINITY MAINTENANCE

Sealed proposals from General Contractors will be received by the University of Georgia Procurement Office, Room 301, Business Services Building, 424 East Broad Street, Athens, Georgia, 30602 until 2:00 p.m., legally prevailing time, on December 1, 2009 for the construction of the Rock Eagle 4H Center - Asphalt Paving Vicinity Maintenance, University of Georgia, Eatonton, Georgia. At the time and place noted above, the proposals for each project will be publicly opened and read.

General Project Description: Furnish and install complete all labor, material and equipment required to pave new parking lot and roadway sections vicinity Maintenance Building. Pavement shall be 2" compacted course of GDOT, Type F asphalt. Contractor shall re-grade & level existing GAB base course prior to paving. Bidder shall be responsible for own dimension & quantity measurements. All work is new construction. Bidder shall visit the site and review work, in person, with Rock Eagle staff representative. Failure to have documented site visit is grounds for rejection of bid.

Bidding documents may be obtained at the University of Georgia Procurement Office, Room 301, Business Services Building, 424 East Broad Street, Athens, Georgia. (706) 542-2361.

Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after time has been called on the date of opening. Bid, performance and payment bonds are NOT required.

The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
